Y’all, I was dreading putting this thing together. I put it off for weeks. And I was right. This thing was exactly as hard as I thought it would be to assemble.Pros:1. You only need one person.2. Partially pre assembled.3. Comes with a plastic with a plastic wrench for tightening the bolts to attach the tires.Cons:1. There are no written instructions. I repeat no written instructions for actually assembling the car. Just some trouble shooting tips for after you have already assembled.... which does you no good when you haven’t assembled said car.2. It’s just page after page of crummy black and white line drawings. CRUMMY.3. If you’ve never put anything together before and don’t have a healthy sense of common sense (and full disclosure I don’t, but I have put stuff together) you are in for a terrible Saturday afternoon. I tracked my time. Took me about 3 hours altogether. Part of that time was spent looking for an instructional video online somewhere. Spoiler alert, nope. You really do have to call customer service for access to the video. I did not do that since I want to spend my precious weekend time on the phone with cust serv about as much as you do.4. There are different size screws that are mixed together and you have to rely on the crummy line drawings to figure out which ones to use for whichever part you’re putting together.5. Because I want people not to go through what I went through here are my instructions to help you navigate the line drawings. First when you’re putting the front and rear bumper on the car the corresponding line drawing is of the car upside down. Same for when you’re attaching the tires to the axles. Also, my battery came with one of the leads unattached. So when I turned it on the first timer it didn’t work. No hint in the instructions that I would first have to remove the white plastic piece off the lead and then attach the lead to the battery. Once I did that the car ran fine.Good luck! The wide body really fits 2 riders at a time. The kids in question are regular sized kindergarteners between 5 and 6 years of age. Enough space to not feel squished. We bought this for our granddaughters. They are 3 and -8 months. There are seatbelts to hold the 18 months still. Easy to drive. They love it.My granddaughter seems to love it. I'm missing one light cover and it doesn't come with any directions on how to get the remote and Radio to work. Seems to be singing in different language. Was super excited about this purchase because of the remote control. I read the reviews, and took the leap. I would not purchase this product again, it was an expensive headache and I’m still not satisfied and wish I could get my money back. We purchased for my two year olds birthday and it came in two boxes at different times, which was weird. We left it in the boxes so my husband could build it closer to birthday day. It comes in a bunch of pieces, which was fine. He was super excited to build it...BUT it didn’t come with the screws. I messaged customer service and they stated they would be getting those right to me, yet that was over a week ago and I still haven’t received them. Whatever, I gave the company the benefit of the doubt since they were so quick to get back to me the first time, things happen. We bought our own screws so that we could have it built for my sons birthday, because I figured the screws wouldn’t arrive by February 11th (and they didn’t). Next, we have one of one kind of tire and three of another. I messaged the company about this over four days ago and have not received a reaponse. And our rear axel bad wouldn’t thread properly, so my husband worked his magic and made it work for now. My husband also had to figure out his own way to attach the steering wheel because that part didn’t come either. Our vehicle didn’t match up with the directions very well either, there were extra pieces my husband had to put on that (according to the directions) should have already been in place. My husband thinks maybe we received a returned product and the previous buyer took these pieces off in order to fit the product in the return box. I don’t know for sure, but I can say I am SO DISAPPOINTED with the quality of the items sent and regret this purchase. I expected more.I have two starts because my toddler still loves it and luckily I have an awesome husband who did his best and after nearly 3 hours, pretty much useless directions when it came to our product, and a trip to the hardware store was able to salvage it and my two year old doesn’t even know any different. It looks nice now that it’s together (minus the one mismatched tire-maybe the company will reply eventually or send me the proper parts) and the remote does work (was missing the back part so we have to literally hold the batteries in when using it) which was the whole reason we purchased it. We are currently snowed in, but I will try and update later with information on battery life and if the customer service ever replies. It gave up on me after awhile. I didn't really use it alot or let it get damaged or anything. After awhile the battery gave out and we tried to fix it from time to time but alas no avail. Now I have it outside kinda just there.the remote will not over ride the drivers steering actions....so a child has complete control of steering ...the remote is secondary....from my view this is unsafe .......the lack of control over the child/driver's potential steering errors creates a highly unsafe condition.....our little girl LOVES HER TRUCK!!!!My 2 yr old LOVES her pink keep. My husband HATED putting it together. The other reviews mentioning the instructions are correct. My husband is blue collar/electrician and this stumped him. The seller does get back to you with answers pretty quick, and the video helped (you have to ask them to send the link). We did only received two tires in the initial shipment, don’t freak out they will send the second tires and anything else that wasn’t in the first box. It took about three days to receive the second shipment. Don’t worry even if it doesn’t show up on your Amazon as a second package being delivered, it will. You can contact the seller to get an update. After putting it together, and getting a little one in it, all the work was worth it she just loves it. The remote control works fine. And the speed is great, couldn’t be happier.
